Glad to attend the MPS Business Advisory meeting on March 20th. We heard updates from the superintendent on bond projects, district finances, legislative issues, and school-community dialogue. Good to have Tim Hall there as well. #TeamJasonTaylor
Strong turnout at last night’s Sarpy County Democrats Candidate Kickoff. Glad to meet voters and talk about our communities. Thank you to Sarpy County Democrats, Teamsters 554, and everyone who came out. Time to keep building. #TeamJasonTaylor
At a recent meeting, I was asked to step into the Treasurer role for the Learning Community Coordinating Council.
The role focuses on overseeing finances, supporting transparency, and ensuring resources are used carefully to support students and families across our districts.

I’m officially running for the Papio-Missouri River NRD Board while continuing my service on the Learning Community.
Public service means taking responsibility for decisions that affect our communities long term—water protection, flood control, and responsible growth.

Jennifer and I delivered 45 gift cards—over $1,000—collected by members and attendees of the Sarpy County Democrats to Lift Up Sarpy County. These are going to teens, who are often left out of holiday giving, and help provide choice, dignity, and support.

Had a great time at the Learning Community Holiday Party last night. Always good to step back and connect with the people working hard to support kids and families across our districts. Looking forward to the work ahead. Happy holidays, everyone. #teamjasontaylor #service
Joined Gerald Kuhn, Monica Wells, and MOEC’s Terry Haack at the State Board meeting for the CAP discussion. Met leaders, including 2025 TOY Lindsey Wilson, Dr. Vargas, and Deputy Commissioner Frison. Also great reconnecting with Maggie Douglas. #TeamJasonTaylor
Spent a good part of my day doing mock interviews with Avenue Scholars juniors. Avenue Scholars supports motivated students with coaching, guidance, and real-world experiences that prepare them for high-demand careers after graduation. Glad I could help today.

On Thursday, Jennifer and I attended the 2025 Milagro Awards. Incredible stories of families, medical teams, and partners creating real milagros.
Seeing the Learning Community recognized reminded me how much our work impacts kids and families in Douglas & Sarpy Counties.

Today we honor all who served. Service goes beyond the uniform—it’s in how we care for each other every day. 🇺🇸

An inspiring night at the Ben Nelson Gala with my sister, Diona.
Heard from former President Biden, Gov. Beshear, and Sen. Nelson, plus met Harry Dunn.
Highlight: Nebraska’s four Native tribes honoring Biden with a traditional quilt and song. 💙

Honored to celebrate Dr. Debora Wisneski, Community Chair for Early Childhood Education with UNO & the Buffett Institute.
Also great meeting Philip Lai, Ph.D. from UNK—recently appointed as a Community Chair. Inspiring work is happening across Nebraska.

Volunteered this weekend as a soccer ref for the Special Olympics. The athletes brought effort, respect, and joy. Moments like this remind me why I’m committed to the Learning Community—small acts add up to bigger outcomes. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.

On Sept. 19, I joined Millard Public Schools for their Superintendent Business Advisory breakfast with Mayor Ewing and other community leaders. A great chance to hear about student successes, new career pathways, and how we can support schools in high-poverty areas.

Yesterday, Jennifer and I celebrated 24 years of marriage. She’s been my partner through every part of life — family, business, and community. I’m grateful for her love and support, and I look forward to the years still ahead. ❤️

5 years ago, I went from soccer sideline complainer to referee. ⚽
On Aug 25, I hit 605 matches in 5 years — beating my goal.
It’s the same lesson I’ve carried into public service: don’t just complain, get involved and try to make it better.

Joined a roundtable with Rep. Don Bacon & education leaders from NE-02 today at ESU 3. We discussed federal funding for schools, special ed mandates, trades, & local control in education. Grateful to be part of the conversation.

Jennifer and I spent Saturday at the Sarpy County Fair sharing resources to help people register to vote, find information, and feel confident heading into upcoming elections. Great conversations about civic engagement with neighbors! #TeamJasonTaylor
Grateful to attend Tuesday’s summit hosted by the Buffett Early Childhood Institute. As a member of the Learning Community Coordinating Council, it’s powerful to see our work supporting children, families, and schools across the metro.

As a veteran and public servant, I believe we must speak up when promises to working families and those who served are broken.
I spoke with KMTV about how cuts to Medicaid & SNAP would hurt Nebraskans — including fellow vets.
