Bones frozen from
My chosen lot in life
The wife serves me tea
Scalding, burning
I can’t see past the steam
I enter a dream
I was drugged
It would seem, I
Awaken, back in ice
A note pinned to my chest
“Thanks for the kidney,
That was nice.”
