Went from #TechSharePro to #ffconf in Brighton with Show 'n' Tell at Async, it's been busy but so worth it.
#TechSharePro Session on Influencing Upwards. A constant source of frustration for anyone who works in Digital Accessibility.
Watching a #TechSharePro workshop session about AI, Dev Tools and Accessibility. Much more grounded in reality than yesterdays AI Boosterism. These niche use cases have far more legs than the vast majority of AI bells and whistles.

Glad there are Cats that love learning and take all the notes. 😹 #accessibility #TechSharePro
A panel session at TechSharePro there are screens with captions above the panel who are seated. Left to right Lui Asquith Susanna Lauri Abi James Hanneke Van De Roojen & Malin Rygg
Just made it to #TechSharePro in time for the panel session “How the European Accessibility Act is being implemented” chaired by Lui Asquith with Susanna Laurin Abi James Hanneke van Rooijen &. Malin Rygg “Lots of differences between sectors and organisations in knowledge competencies and attitudes”
Day two of #TechSharePro
Watching a panel about the European Accessibility act. Pertinent to Universities who have EU citizens access their products/courses.
It's an amazing aim for the EU to create a directive that significantly improves digital accessibility for its citizens.
Woosh! Up early did day two of #techsharepro. Heading off to the trains in a bit and playing some Animal Crossing to fill the gap :)
Amazing day at #techsharepro. Heck! On the way home with a massive snoozy smile. :)
Today is def on the surreal end of things.
#TechSharePro has been amazing and it's only just the first day! I'm learning a lot and also just feeling the passion from everyone in the panels.
Ducking out of #TechSharePro as I can't face hearing about Meta's glasses again. Hope someone asks them about ethics though.
Ok, another #TechSharePro AI session 😩
It's about Ethics now.
Ian Smith from Baseline raise the specter of the post office scandal, with reference to AI being in everything👏
Rachel Paul and Regine Gessner seated behind the IAAP UK information table at TechShare Pro. The table displays IAAP brochures, ribbons, and accessibility resources. Behind them stands a banner with the IAAP logo and member benefits, representing the global accessibility community.
AbilityNet TechShare Pro 2025 logo in bold white and yellow text. A thin yellow vertical line appears to the left of the text, and a yellow rocket icon launches upward from the bottom right corner, symbolizing innovation and forward momentum in accessibility and technology.
Meet IAAP at TechShare Pro 2025 Today and Tomorrow!
If you’re attending, don’t miss the chance to stop by the IAAP booth in the exhibit hall (first floor).

Right. A panel on living with imposter syndrome. I'm going to feel really seen during this then. #TechSharePro
Quite like the #TechSharePro Live Lounge format, nice idea to create a space for online participants (although makes nipping off for a coffee harder).
Rightio two days of #TechSharePro. Let's go.
Looking forward to hearing what people are doing in the Digital Accessibility field.
All the amazing people we'll meet, all the wonderful things we'll learn, today and tomorrow, about how to make the digital world accessible to all: feeling excited for #TechSharePro. Thank you, #AbilityNet team ❤️
About to head out the door to the #techsharepro parliamentary reception :)
Exciting way to start a really, really busy week!!
All the Woosh.
(Lion’s going to sneak in, try to avoid scaring anyone to much :))
Anyone planning to virtually attend #TechSharePro this week? Be interested in chatting along with folks.
Chris wearing shirt that reads friends don’t let friends ship inaccessible code
I just opened my bag whilst trying to settle back into normality after an amazing #TechSharePro… found this masterpiece.
Text on shirt reads: Friends don’t let friends ship inaccessible code!
Many amazing people but enjoyed connected with my accessibility tribe!
Love it!

Chris and Jennison selfie
What an amazing day at #TechSharePro. I even had chance to meet one of my all time accessibility idols Jennison Asuncion 🤣
Jennison is one of the co-founders of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (Head of Accessibility at LinkedIn) he graciously sat listening to me waffle on for half hour 😃
Lots of insightful panel talks at #TechSharePro today. Highlights for me were the session on making change happen (I want to learn more about change management) and the chat about burnout in the accessibility profession. I will try to write up my notes. #accessibility
Today I've been dipping in and out of #TechSharePro and finalising a test course for some accessibility testing with disabled users starting next week.
I've spent the day logging in as test accounts, submitting dummy assignments and then marking them as an instructor.
SOOOOO DULL!
"It’s not the lack of experts, it’s the lack of common knowledge that is preventing success." - Susanna Laurin, IAAP, on why we need #a11y in university curriculum. #TechSharePro
Day two of #TechSharePro. A focus on changing cultures to become more accessible. I find this fascinating and kinda depressing in equal measures as the glacial pace of HE change* is absolutely one of the biggest barriers.
*Unless someone with "Stampy Feet" wants something, obvs.
I have awoken feeling awful, so I might still turn #TechSharePro on to listen, but it will be from the sofa instead of the desk.
Don’t kno how anyone else watching #TechSharePro is faring, but I have basically been unable to hear anyone talking via screen at it all day. And the ‘audio description’ thing just now was conveyed to me as wiggly white noise and nothing more :/
I’m also getting heartily sick of everyone everywhere trying to push A.I into absolutely everything.
It’s especially annoying trying to push it into #AltText. Alt text is so context dependant, and gen.a.i is so utterly useless for genuine writing. It’s just a bad idea all around.
#TechSharePro
I had to attend a meeting, so I missed a whole hour of #TechSharePro D:
Interesting to step back in to a discussion about having the accessibility team embedded in brand, though.
That process he just described is basically how I work with our brand folk.
Ugh. Apple being quite smug and self-congratulatory about being Apple. Funny, I can watch an advocacy video like the Assume that I Can vid and love it, but watching the Apple Watch one just made me want to burn down billboards cos ultimately I hate advertising so much. #TechSharePro
Bloody hell.
This is what advocacy looks like.
Take 90 seconds out of doomscrolling and watch this. #TechSharePro
