Ted Joans at a Rent-a-Beatnik' party, probably in Greenwich Village in NYC.
(Village Voice photographer Fred McDarrah ran the Rent a Beatnik ad as a joke and found himself getting requests for the service. He recruited Joans, who earned rent money reading his poems at parties.)
