A battered Tektronix TM504 modular test equipment chassis. Left to right, it contains: FG501A Function Generator FG503 Function Generator DM501 Multimeter PS503A Dual Power Supplu There's a messy workbench and an analog oscilloscope partially in the frame.

Haven't fired up this old friend in years. The +5 output on the power supply should be perfect to smoketest the RC2014. #tektronix

The culprit identified. There's no test signal at any of the input attenuators. These wafer switches will have to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned. Also the "uncal" potentiometers will have to be freed up or replaced.

#Tektronix RM503 will need the Atkelar treatment. There's no spot, no trace.

I am not buying oscilloscopes anymore but my only portable (luggable) scope recently died, so I got something a lot smaller but still vintage: this cute Sony/Tektronix 335, from 1976 I believe.

About five years ago I had six working Tektronix FG504 signal generators, after finding eight, with only one working as-found. They are fantastic but also fragile: yesterday I was again down to only one working generator: time to start on those postponed repairs.
