Hallowe'en, like many holidays, has grown into an orgy of consumption. Liz and Bryan's friends avoided buying new costumes the next year (it is once again a cardboard robot, Batman, a pumpkin-head and a bunch of grapes at the party behind them). Liz and Bryan's balloon hats from last year (week) didn't last, and so, this year they are wearing non-toxic body paint. Liz has Wonder Woman's skin-tight costume painted on, and Bryan is Hulk-green with painted-on purple shorts. Everyone is dancing and having a super time. Incidentally, why do Hulk's pants not split like the rest of his clothes? My pants sometimes split, and I'm shaped more like Bryan than the Hulk.
