1. I cried less than expected.
2. The synopsis didn't prepare me for the plot depth.
3. The main cast is amazing (the level to which I both hated and felt sorry for one of the characters was oof).

I may have a new favourite Thai movie, คิดถึงวิทยา Teacher's Diary. The story is very simple but it's so well told. Fun kids, teachers who really care about them, gorgeous location and it's so gentle and unrushed. Really lovely.

Low Season สุขสันต์วันโสด has the unhurried pacing I love in
Thai movies. There's no grand Plot, just two people getting lost in the Northern mountains and finding something more.
Highly recommend, especially this time of year.

The #ThaiFilm is เด็กหอ aka "Dek hor" or "Dorm". The first 17 minutes are very much to my liking. I've worn myself out with all the experimenting to find feasibly working subs so it will have to wait.
I have enough Thai to pair audio with subs but not enough to go without subs for a film like this.

Me: Downloads multiple subtitle files and three copies of a 2006 #ThaiFilm hoping to find a match.
Finally got it except the video has hard-coded Indonesian subs so I have to watch via subtitling software which thankfully puts the soft-coded subs under the video.

Watched Nang Nak again, knowing the story, more about Thailand & #ThaiFilm
Hits differently this time, the fear/horror elements receding. It's still tense and unsettling but purer tragedy and heartbreak.
