One of the best parts of #TheLaundryFiles is the way that capitalism works hand in hand with government corruption to feed innocent civilians to the things that sleep in the quiet between stars. Very realistic.

After far too long I have resumed reading #TheLaundryFiles. I’ve enjoyed Charles Stross’s prose for a long time. It’s fun to see the shift between describing eldritch horror, bureaucratic absurdity, and bureaucratic horror.
Currently making my way through the Nightmare Stacks. Love it!

One of my favorite books series is #TheLaundryFiles by Charles Stross. There are evangelicals in his works that have been co-opted by many-tentacled old gods from beyond time and space and are actively seeking to bring about the end of the world. This feels less fictional than I think he intended
