a night concert last summer at the ironstone amphitheater in murphys, california. the stage features the band cake performing, with the lead singer centered under purple and blue spotlights and a mirrored disco ball projecting shiny, scattered points of light. other band members are visible with drums, guitars, and keyboards…

Another banger of an album originating from my student period (1994-1999). I really love the raw guitars combined with the trumpets and rattles. Hard to pick a fav, but Stickshifts and Safetybelts is one of them.
