The werewolf that was changing before her eyes moments ago is no more. Now a teenaged boy lies before her. He still has patches of fur all over him and his nails are still pointed like claws. His hair is messy and matted. He is bathed in golden light.

Emmaline backs up in horror away from the creature transforming before her but hits the apple tree behind her.
She covers her ears, trying in vain to block out the horrifying sounds of bones cracking and muscles rearranging. Damn dude, your bones are loud as hell.
It's almost over, my son 😢
I wanted this to be a direct parallel to how most werewolf transformations I've seen end with a howl at the moon, this naturally being a reverse-transformation I had to have him scream at the sun.
