Sin daños permanentes: ‘vintage picks’, con The icicle works – Birds fly (whisper to a scream) (1983) Entre las muchas bandas británicas que definieron el pop-rock en los años ochenta, algunas se convirtieron en estrellas globales. Otras consiguieron un éxito moderado pero no trascendieron demasiado más allá de las islas británicas. En estos casos, pillarlas no era fácil si no era a través de la prensa especializada o la radio. Este fue para mí­ el caso con esta estupenda banda de Liverpool The Icicle Works, quienes a mediados de los ochenta ofrecí­an una notable mezcla de pop y de rock de inspiración sesentera.

Y termina esta larga serie que he titulado 'vintage picks', recopilando las primeras entradas de #TheMusicPicker antes de convertirlo en blog. Y lo hago con una banda ochentera a reivindicar, #TheIcicleWorks
