Comet learned to read and write from her parents. W'llayan can read at a pre-school level, and is decent enough with writing though her handwriting isn't exactly legible. Fris is very scholarly.

Gonna use this practice drawing I did some time ago. I was rewatching Legend of Korra in the early-ish days of Comet's creation and realized her and Korra are a lot alike.
This was not intentional as I was thinking of Ruby Rose from RWBY a lot when making Comet but here we are

Her name was originally Stella Cosmos, as I was trying to stay within the theme of Meteor. Never dawned on me to use Comet till I found out that 1.0 players did have a name for her. Thus her name change from Stella Cosmos to Comet Survivor.
This lead to was me creating her parents.
