This novel is set about 50 years in the future. It's extremely difficult to both imagine this world in that future with our current state of affairs. Also hard to explain some things in order to world build. Like how we survived 2025.

Feels odd to say during a constitutional crisis but I’m really happy my editing & revisions on my novel The Mantle. Wrote some stuff out, other stuff in. The wildass plot holds up. I’m almost ready to write the final part whatever that is. Fantasy is all I have left !😂 #themantle #scifi #writing
I’m looking forward to resuming my lone edit of #themantle. My 1st draft style is usually kitchen sink inclusive, shall we say? Not saying it’s gonna be Snowcrash but it appears to flow well so far. I’m still not sure how to end it (of course it’s book 1/3 lol) but there’s time yet.
Spent the day editing The Mantle. Editing is weird when the words work right. Even weirder when they don’t. After one scene I realized I could sum it up better with a few paragraphs. So a rewrite tomorrow? Maybe. For now some rest then dinner. #themantle
