Every royal court needs a jester and every racing game needs its obstacles. That's where Comet comes in! By day, he's flinging candies onto multiple sections of Sugar Rush's racetrack and setting up a variety of hurdles for players to overcome. After hours, he's testing King Candy's wit (and temper) and keeping him entertained through songs, poetry, jokes, spontaneous trickery, and the like.
Comet, despite being a fun-loving individual with an easygoing demeanor, is rather difficult to form a genuine bond with due to his mile-wide mean streak. He's a brazenly condescending and intentionally aggravating person with a tendency to be sarcastic, impulsive, and arrogant.
It's no surprise that the denizens of Sugar Rush are unwilling to stick around this disarmingly jovial jester for long enough to attempt fighting past the superficially unpleasant personality he has carefully cultivated.
