A collar-up, grayscale portrait of my original character named Hilladar. Despite its grayscale, his eyes were colored a deep red - the same shade of the background and the blood on the top of his head and dripping over his face like war paint. White dots the eyes like piercing pupils. He has a fur-lined cloak and armor, and two earrings on each ear. A scar cuts across his right cheek, disappearing below his beard. Some of his white hair is loosened from its slicked back style. Made in 2025.

Another collar-up portrait of my character Hilladar, this time with color, and wearing only a blue, collared shirt. He is facing to his left, looking beyond the portrait with the same stern expression, and blood drips from his right forehead - soaking the loosened white hair and even getting into the white of his right eye. The blood stops over his beard. The background is a pastel blue and dull, dark blue gradient, thickly framed by a light gray. Made in 2023.

if i had a nickel for every time Hilladar has blood over his hair and face, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice

Riley has bunny ears, while Calix has horns curling like a ram. The two are also featured under different lighting, where Riley has a warmer light source, while Calix is under a cooler light. Riley has red, layered hair, gray eyes, a slight smile, and a scar shaped like an X across his right cheek. Calix has pale hair, heterochromia - his left eye being cyan, the right being white - a beard, and a scar from his forehead, past his right eye, and down to his right jaw.

He is oblivious to the person looking at him from afar, who is focused on him to the point that the light of the room shines a spotlight on him. The viewer shares this point of view with the mysterious person.

i wanted to play with lighting and make it look like a scene. i found it really fun to paint light just bouncing off of surfaces!

Peregrine (upper left) and his older sister, Anaia (upper right) are talking about how their friend, Orpheus, is frustrated at Peregrine. Anaia retorts, pointing out how Peregrine still doesn't see that Orpheus is trying to show his interest towards Peregrine - to no avail. Peregrine, oblivious this whole time, is shocked at this revelation. Anaia is at a disbelief. At the bottom of the page is a drawing unrelated to the scene, featuring Peregrine using his powers via a dark magic arrow.

still think about this every month. i should draw more interactions...
