#TheTroop is undeniably visceral with unsettling characterization to match. There’s a crudeness to it, though, that’s hit or miss, and its climax doesn’t quite reach the heights its Lord of the Flies-premise promises. Still, from start to end, it’s well-written horror — 4/5 Stars

Just finished this, and while I enjoyed it I’m glad I wasn’t eating during certain parts lmao.

Best way to describe this is, Lord of the Flies meets the series Yellowjackets — but that’s all I’ll say.
