A shop window full of artistic pottery with a sign in a stand-up frame in the middle of the display reading "it's the other pot shop"
A shop window with a stuffed toy bird and other bric-a-brac. At the top is part of a sign reading "welcome" and at the bottom is a sticker in the window reading "premises monitored by video surveillance". The bird isn't ornithologically correct and it's coloured white with pastel purple, blue and pink bits, but it might be a penguin. It was a cold day so I was thinking of penguins when I saw it.
A view down an alley of a sunlit brick house tucked away in back of an apartment building, with more apartment buildings in the distance, and a tree with bare branches to the left
The window of "Dave's Hot Chicken" with a sign that looks like the face of a rubber chicken
Some things I saw on my walk on Thursday. Yes, "the other pot shop" is next door to a cannabis store. #photography

A shop window lit by low afternoon winter sun. Inside is an old suitcase, on top of which is what looks at first glance like a 1960s vintage portable radio in a case with a handle, but it's actually a portable hair dryer of the old fashioned sort with the hose and cap, and a plant growing from a white flower pot that looks like a head in a classical sculptural style. In the lower right is the truncated text "looking fo" from a sign painted on the glass.
A sign on the sidewalk outside a shop with the outside walls painted bright pink. The sign reads "Cute Shop" with hearts and flowers surrounding the text and an arrow pointing into the store.
A photograph of the shadow of somebody walking a bicycle across a city street, with the crosswalk lines and a streetcar track visible on the pavement. In the background is a red brick corner store, a bus shelter (or rather a streetcar shelter), a red traffic light, and a white truck stopped at the light.
A utility box (the photographer believes it's a telephone junction box but isn't certain) in an old residential neigbourhood. The box is painted with an image of a cow and chicked apparently walking around on city streets. Behind it is a chain link fence around a schoolyard, and beyond that is a cross street lined with 3 story red brick Victorian houses with gingerbread gables. Everything is illuminated from a low angle by the setting winter sun.
Some things I saw on my walk on Friday. I saw more things than that but it seems I can only post 4 at a time. #photography #streetphotography #toronto #torontostreetphotography #thingsIsawonmywalk #seenwhilewalking
An abandoned carton of egg nog on a city sidewalk
A plastic skeleton wearing a santa hat sitting in a chair in front of a house waving at passers-by
An assortment of garden ornaments comprising a snail, a frog with big bulging eyes, a bird, a golden statue, a small ceramic jug, and other junk
A jetty on the shore of Lake Ontario with icicles on the railing and a shrub on the left hand side, and a cloudy sky
Some things I saw on my walk today.
