Hence, exceeded knee motion limits in both directions. Was Sun. Monday I could manage a gimpy walk. Four days later, much better via wise rehab. Next week I'll be running again.

Primitive wreath fashioned from a wild grapevine.
Pulling down this grapevine is how I fell and hyperextended my knee. But I wanted to make a wreath for someone, and did. But gotta hold off running for a 2-3 days. Runners hate messing up a knee.

Stand 5'-11" tall and trim down to 140 lbs and you a get a BMI of 19.5. Perfect number for a marathoner.

Fun to run at marathon-level effort...for, say, 6 miles and then quit, leaving the other 20 miles hanging high and dry for another day.

I'd passed the German around mile 19. But I didn't pick off the Portuguese until the final stretch, headed downtown on 5th Ave, to win my age division at the NYC Marathon.

Hay cutting time on the Angus cattle farm I run thru. The hay has been cut, raked, baled, and hauled away. The fields now look as neat as a lawn.

I was never close friends with other people who do ultramarathons, 100mi races and multi-day events, a small group.
I wonder, as they slide on into codgerhood, if they are bothered by nocturnal legs cramps like I am.
