motomi laughing/ smiling bigly and certainly a-little-past-tipsy-ly, leaning on rin with an arm over his shoulder and margarita in hand, 2 more empty glasses on the table. rin smiles with an air of smug mischief and stirs his own soft drink, thinking "this is gonna be so good"

shiki unenthusiastically carrying a very drunk and starry-eyed motomi to the couch as motomi pokes his cheek and tries (badly) to charm him with a "hellooooo hamsdome... handsome. come here [their apartment??] often?" shiki ignores him and replies only "if you throw up on me i Will leave you to drown facedown in your own vomit."

motomi singsongily asking "can iiiiii kiss yoouuu?", kicking his feet in shiki's arms with a big smile. shiki unceremoniously tosses him to the couch, motomi's eyes wide in surprise. bracing his arm against the wall, shiki leans over the couch, pointing down at motomi as he orders him "just--💢 stay here. don't move. i'll be back." he turns to leave, but motomi grabs the hand pointed in his direction and pulls it close.

motomi holds shiki's hand to his face and asks, with beautiful sparkly brown eyes, a flushed face, and a slur to his voice "is that a 'no'?" shiki sighs and rolls his eyes as motomi adds "...on my birthday?💔" shiki drops down to give him one (1) birthday kiss [and just 1!! pushing him away by the forehead if he would try again heh]; their faces aren't visible but motomi's hands immediately go to shiki's waist to touch him, running fingers over the skin under his shirt. shiki pulls away, mildly irritated. "stop grinning like that-- you're just bumping your teeth against me." motomi, one arm wrapped around shiki's back and the other playing with his hair, smiles and singsongs back "hmm~🎵 can't help it! 'm happy!" shiki pauses before replying "... you're ridiculous is what you are." he looks a little exasperated but not terribly upset.. [they're 1-3 hours out from falling asleep on the couch watching some shit on tv. and yeah shiki will wake him up by throwing their little ibuprofen bottle at his head lol.]

1) shiki glaring off to the side, ignoring motomi and looking annoyed or at least flustered by him but i mean getting flustered would just piss shiki off anyways so its all the same in the end i guess. motomi fans the fire/ tests his luck by prodding shiki with a singsongy "princess~" 2-3) shiki hits the slim limit of his patience and whips around to spit a "WHAT--" but realizes motomi has leaned in a little closer than he thought, smiling a little amused at shiki. their two comic panels are also closer together to mirror this :3 4-5) motomi and shikis comic panels are so close they're basically one panel now. motomi gently rests shikis chin in his hand as he leans across the panel border to murmur a little "thank you" in his ear. meanwhile shikis brain looks like its still recalibrating lol. 6) motomi pulls away from the side of shikis head but still holds his chin in his hand, tilting their faces and drawing them closer... 7) ...before just dropping his weight back on the bed with a little audible "bmf!" of the pillows, eyes closed and a satisfied look on his face. shiki is confused. 8) still confused, shiki tries to get the upper hand/ a reaction with a taunt "hah! dont tell me you finally gave up attempting to hold me down?" but motomi just agreeably returns "eh, figured i'd let ya have this one. do what ya want for once." [wont try to hold him down/ make him stay]

9) smugly smiling, shiki takes the news as a win, thinking to himself "hmph, finally. victory~˖ ࣪⊹" 10) he stops and thinks for a moment, realization sinking in. he is suddenly much less smug. "...." 11) shiki, now understanding he has been played, thinks to himself "D A M N I T" in frustration. [without the excuse of motomi holding him down and shiki being "too tired" or "dont care" enough to move him, the decision to stay suddenly becomes much more apparently active vs passive. cant claim to only ~reluctantly~ stick around when its your move to do so.] 12) motomi lies on the pillow, eyes closed, face relaxed. he looks like hes asleep but hes just patiently waiting. 13) just out of frame, there is the small "bmf" of a head hitting the nearby pillow and a bit of dark hair fanning across its surface can be seen. motomi, eyes still closed, smiles knowingly. 14) motomi opens his eyes and his arms, smiling kindly at shiki as he beckons him closer with a warm little "cmere." shiki, still pissed at being played, is curled up, arms pulled close to his body, glaring at motomi. 15) shiki has had Enough, sitting up suddenly to flip motomi, slamming his back against the mattress. motomi looks a little nervous as he yelps "s-shiki?!" 16) shiki rolls motomi, and pulls their bodies together, motomis back against his chest. motomi still looks a little puzzled. 17) a little less roughly, shiki curls around motomi, wrapping his arm around his stomach to hold him where he is 18) in a mix of fondness exasperation and amusement, suddenly finding himself being little spoon'd, motomi lightheartedly half-asks-half-jabs "...comfortable?" and places his hand over shikis hand on his chest. shiki buries his face in motomis hair, looking off to the side and gives a little "hmph". his other hand wraps around motomis waist. 19) doodle of shiki snoozing away, still spooning motomi, who realizes in amusement "guess i was the one held down this time..."

rin and shikis faces half overlapping, the overlapping portion in red and blue, to match their eyes. they both look a little miserable. much like me when i think about them.

shiki steps back, pulling rin into a façade of an embrace as he runs him through with his sword. shikis face isnt visible, and all that is visible of rins face is one wide eye. rins fingers falter on his knife, and his arms, half wrapped around shiki, stall. whether dropping the knife is a physical or emotional response, and whether going to grab at shiki is a return of the "embrace" or just grabbing for support who knooowwwssss. the point is that the pushing away AND the pulling closer both hurt or somethinggg.

rin sitting on shikis stomach to pin him, resting his own weight on the sword hes holding, shoved through shikis chest. rins face isnt visible, and all that is visible of shikis face is one closed eye. shikis sword rests near his limp hand, a pool of blood spreading beneath his body.
