I asked our barista if I could draw them and they said yes. Thought they were dressed as a bunny (floppy ears and a cute tail) but I heard them say they were an ewe later in the evening! I shouldn't have assumed. An anthropomorphic rabbit is pouring frothed milk into a mug, she's wearing a green dress. The legs are not rendered and only one of the black boots are rendered.

Local furry event means I get to draw Furries. Charcoal on ancient newspaper pad with pastels to colour.

I've come to realize tho that I feel a lot of anxiety with "doing art", like if I just do it for myself I could be doing something else. These events allow me that indulgence. #tradmedia

A partially finished pen outline, with a snail whose shell is encrusted with jewels. The linework has smudges throughout, with some fairly egregious smudging near the head/‘neck’ area of the snail (if snails had necks). Little fuzzy caterpillars crawl nearby, likely wondering if they are fully safe in the hands of an artist with spacey clumsy hands.

Nooo - I smudged this snail to smithereens, just as I was finishing it 😩 noooo! I was about to be so pleased with it too.

After a brief 10-15 minute existential crisis, I saw a way forward. It’ll set some limits, but that’s ok.

Art can be a harrowing journey at times 😆
