#transrightsreadathon2026 late day 6: TRANSPOETHICALBODY: a book of black trans* erotic poetry, tiely santos. this book was challenging for me because of my internalized binarism and cissexism re: recent trans discourses but i'm glad i read it. all sorts of trans ppl loving all sorts of trans ppl
#transrightsreadathon2026 day 5: bluff: poems, danez smith. all i can say is holy fuck. absolutely amazing poetry breaking format and form and combining autobiographical poetry with speculative poetry and man. their speculative poems are great. second coming of octavia butler. takes your breath away
#transrightsreadathon2026 late day 4: the t is not silent, new and selected poems. slightly liberal in its worship of obama but i genuinely enjoyed these sets of poems. my favorites were "pink and blue: a (short) love story" and "a requiem for queers (or why we wear the color purple)".
#transrightsreadathon2026 day 3: principles of non-euclidean romance, ela bambust. THIS IS LITERALLY MY SHIT (re: cozy yet horrific sci fi). TIME LOOPS, EXPLORATIONS OF GENDER AND IDENTITY, ELDRITCH ENTITIES EXISTING AS HEADMATES, DISSOCIATION, QUEER ROMANCE (PARTICULARLY WLW). THIS IS MY SHIT.
#transrightsreadathon2026 day 2: exile and pride, eli clare. this memoir is gripping, informative, and at times intense and even relatable. the most fascinating chapters were about the logging industry and disability in america + nonsexual objectification of disabled people.
#transrightsreadathon2026 day 1: feeld, jos charles: absolutely beautiful collection of poems that play with form, mimicking how the trans body plays with its form. some of the poems really hit me, though im not of transfeminine experience like jos charles is
Read trans books. Write trans books. Print out a trans fanfic and hit a transphobe in the head with it. #transrightsreadathon2026
