One of the before pics. Shows extensive rust on top.
This is after restoration. This thing was a more difficult job that usual, as nearly every component needed to be addressed. As you can see, I repaired the rust damage and paint.
A closer look at the top. It's not perfect, but much better than rusty. and I made sure to not gloss it too heavily, since the original set wasn't a perfect gloss either.
The electronics were roasted. Running a vintage TV with these old components may "light up" or "sort of come on" but it damage other components that are difficult to replace. If you want it to work, give it to someone that knows their way around these relics to inspect it first.
Fixed up another television. This TV came to me DOA. It took a bit of extra work to get it running reliably, but I think the results speak for themself. The outer case is steel and was badly rusted on top, so I addressed that as well.
