La #tungiasis es una ectoparasitosis que se produce por la penetración en la piel de la pulga de arena (Tunga penetrans). Es endémica de regiones tropicales de Sudamérica, Caribe, África Subsahariana y algunos países bañados por el Océano Indico.

This is insane. All studies on #tungiasis must have male/female analysis as its been shown males have twice the odds of being infected. How do we find out why if we cant distinguish them? Basically they dont want any health research or publications. #ntds
