My family and I need to move somewhere for the rest of September due to mold exposure in our house. I found a hotel we can stay at with low rates that, if we stayed starting September 18th-September 30th, we'd need around $340 to stay at. Our plan to raise these funds, if not through donations, is to ask for use of a vehicle to Uber/DD with my wife and I present (running the business/food side of things), giving a driver cut for gas, in order to raise enough money to stay at this hotel. Just until our car's registration tags come in the mail (likely sometime next week, but I don't feel comfortable using our car due to risk of being pulled over or potential legal trouble with Uber/DD that might occur, though I'm not for sure). We unfortunately aren't able to use my second paycheck of the month because our money will need to go to putting a down payment on apartment for us to leave TX October 1st/the first week of October at the latest. Hence our inability to afford the hotel stay. I know it's unlikely anyone can provide their car, time, and energy, so anything you could donate would help us. Thank you.

The past few months have been harde - and its clear that if we want to keep serving our community successfully, we must show up with more hoesty, better communication, and accountability. This town hall is about giving a coalition across the Panhandle that is rooted in service to our local LGBTQ+ community.
