So I’m behind on my reading challenge for the year, about 5 books off the pace. On the other hand I have listened to 105 albums so far this year. I feel like I’m still challenging myself with new media and ideas. Art from a different perspective.

Today my 1001 album generator project gave me the greatest album ever. An album that I’ve listened to on repeat for over a quarter century. It long ago ceased being an artifact of music to me and became maintenance medication. I need regular doses of this album to function.

Today my 1001 album generator project gave me Wilco’s “Being There” from 1996.
Honestly surprised I’ve never listened to this album before. My mind wanted to manufacture years, decades, of nostalgia for this as I was listening to it for the first time. Good 90s stuff here.

Remembering my appreciation for Jamiroquai this morning #undertheheadphones 🎧 . Really dug Virtual Insanity but Dynamite was the only Jamiroquai CD I ever owned. After a friend gave me it to me I played the hell out of it. “Seven Days in Sunny June” still hits.

It’s not hyperbole to say Linkin Park’s music helped me get through college. Chester’s voice will be forever missed by me. I love this album too and am glad Emily is helping LP continue on.
