Always hated VAR, the bureaucratic way to suck joy out of football. Today’s six minute plus delay to confirm a Forest goal was the latest nadir. Semi-automatic offside technology not available, issues with VAR communication to the referee. They won’t, but every real fan knows, just get rid #VAROUT

The other thing about the semi automated system - they show you a computer animation proving it was or wasn't offside. But what proof have we that the animation is accurate, or indeed, honest? People gobble it up unquestioningly, but they have no real basis to trust the system. #VARout
