A blue and cream striped envelope with illustration of ladies dresses from 1940s. At top is E.I Patterns for Bound Buttonholes in the blue field with cream text. Middle of Cream stripe area reads "with simplified Instructions. Illustrated. 15- 1 inch markers. To the left of that text is a box that reads Make Professional Bound Button Holes the easy way in a script font. Below that text in the box is a monogram of EI. To the right of that box and near bottom left is a circle with 10 cents in it. Below the envelope are iron on transfers for making a bound buttonhole, instructions are partially obscured by the envelope and transfers. The transfers are in a blue rectangle with a line down the middle of a dashed rectangle - there are v's at the end of the line to indicate snipping to the corners of dotted box.
Vintage notion of the week. Seems like too much work when chalk works just as well. Why would I bring an iron into it, it's my least favorite part of sewing. Circa 1940.
