This is the wild colorful album cover artwork for the 2025 debut EP "Prophetic Ocular Syntax" by the american death metal band Voidspore. The cover was made by the artist Syn Danendrea (from indonesia if i am not mistaken). It is a science fiction themed rocky landscape with a big organic looking alien figure in the center of the image. As a closer description: the rocky mountain horizon splits roughly halfway up the frame of the cover. The sky is black endless space with clusters of stars, planets, gasses and colors. A rocky desert landscape lights up the image with a bright orange ground surface, going into yellow and green tones at places. The alien figure in the center of the frame appears to have a single large black eye, and is shaped very insect like. It is unclear to me which degree the figure is organic or mechanic, it seems organic. There are mushrooms growing in the alien landscape between us (the viewers) and the alien figure. The undersides of the mushroom heads seem to emmit a bright green shine. The band's trippy green logo spelling "VOIDSPORE" (spore is tied to the mushroom theme) stands out in the top half of the frame. Above and almost wrapping around the big singular eye of the figure. I borrow this picture. This is a promotional picture from the Facebook profile of the American death metal band Voidspore. Its a flyer-looking graphic. It was posted in the end of March 2026 (a couple of days ago) to announce that the band's debut EP Prophetic Ocular Syntax" is coming out on vinyl. The EP was originally self-released by the band digitally in November 2025. The promotional picture shows the album cover art (described in the other picture from this post) which was created by the artist Syn Danendrea, as well as showing three vinyl records side by side. The three vinyls show the three vinyl color variations the album is available in. One is black with green symbols. The two other are bright and very colorfully splashed.
