Sculpting practice! I have mixed feelings about the old multi-part zombie kit. On the one hand, it has a lot of charm, and many of the faces are great. On the other, the heads and hands are huge and the shoulder joins are pretty rough. My main reason for doing this is to practice sculpting without having to create a whole figure from scratch, which is always intimidating. I got to try things I've never done before, like the hair and the blade, as well as some anatomy and cloth, which is a struggle. I wanted to create a more martial zombie that holds a shield and appears more focused, inspired by the 90s ones sculpted by Gary Morley. The head is from the previous generation skaven stormvermin kit.

Redid the skin a few times, settling on Warm flesh and flesh wash Diluted with glaze and wash medium.

Started adding colour to the cloth. Mahogany with a touch of water for the wood. Black wash over white for the tombstone.

The Troll from the Blood Bowl line of miniatures. They have light blue skin with a bone coloured belly. They are wearing a bear trap as a shoe on their raised left foot. There is a wooden placard hanging from their neck with the number "42" crudely painted on it. They are wearing a leather glove on their left, taloned hand. there are dark blue scales on their left shoulder. In their right hand they hold a goblin who is themselves holding a large spiked foot ball. The Goblin is wearing bone coloured clothing with red football pads. They are also wearing leather gloves. The troll's right shoulder is covered in a red pauldron with chainmail dangling off. Their midsection is covered by a loincloth with various bones hanging off it. Finally, their head is the same shade of light blue and their nose terminates in the same bone colour as their tummy.
