The 'A Quarter Past' was the stand out for me tonight, yet again saying that Blended Malts are as good as single malts. Velvet Vig & Peat Chimney next with the Bunna 4th, needed some ABV. The VF and PC were lovely but I'd love to try a CS version.

it a a tough one today as i would happily drink all if those drams but im gonna go with the Velvet Fig 12, its continued the legacy if its forefathers (or mothers)

The cheaper drams would be a good solid buy for me giving a great taste along with the value for money.

🏁 - Long side of medium in length for me. And again, all the bulk palate flavours continue for the duration. For a blended malt this also stands with many single malts, this is what happens when whisky folk know what they’re doing. It’s rather nice, and a very fair price for it imho. #WemyssMalts

Finish: lingering smoke, salinity and tropical fruit.
Yummy dram, again a 55+% ABV bottling would be brilliant!

I have found the drams a little hit and miss. However the Peat Chimney is a great, value for money dram.

Peat Chimney. Palate (cont.): It starts very sooty and smoky, but there are layers of complexity there - milky coffee, honey and, as the finish approaches, sherbet lemon are just some of the myriad of flavours @thewhiskywire.bsky.social #WemyssMalts #Scotch #Whisky

I loved the Quarter Passed. Super tropical and interesting. #WemyssMalts

👅 - Initially it’s spicy and peaty, but overpowering on either side. Yes there’s peat, it’s medicinal, but nose as strong as the nose was. Spices range from bitter lemon to cardamom, star anise, and coffee grinds. Toffee and caramel come along too, a whiff of smoke also for me. #wemyssMalts
