There's an Alice in Wonderland aspect to this book. The narrator keeps running into these strange characters who astound and amaze him. While he's not American, it's just Mississippi, and it's not his first time there. 🤷🏾‍♀️

We'll see. The narrator seems a bit obnoxious, like the guy who knows he's being inappropriate and covers by claiming "I'm just asking questions" or by "playing devil's advocate".
