Breakfast was roasted sweet potato with red onion (seasoned with "Miracle Blend" [a local spice blend I think] and Slap Ya Momma) and topped with two fried eggs, sunny side up. Coconut oil was used (unrefined). No photo.

Day 18: pomegranates are the most sapphic fruit and you can’t convince me otherwise. They are also sweet little hydrating bursts of hope for #whole30
Day 17: food no longer comforts me. There’s a whole genre of food from which I am totally bereft. Comfort food. There are whole restaurants, cook books, schools of thought around this ancient cultural practice. And I am unable to appreciate a singular morsel. #whole30 but I am shattered in pieces.
Day 14: eating has a different meaning when nothing is delicious. The greatest joys of today are the date balls rolled in coconut flakes and some 100% apple cider. This doesn’t sound bad (and it’s not the worst) but this is ALL.I.HAVE. No dressings, sauces, sweets, pastries, chips, or joy. #whole30

Days 11-12: beyond proud that I somehow survived NYC and an all day work event + happy hour + the after after party without breaking #whole30. How I did it? I’ll never know. Walking by bodegas, food trucks, and the best restaurants on the east coast required more discipline than abstinence #realtalk

Day 8 #whole30. I’ve eaten two bananas today. Two. Never in my life have I had two bananas just by choice NOT in a blended alcoholic beverage.
#Whole30 Day 7: today's lunch was: a banana, a sweet potato, and carrot/celery/bell pepper sticks w/ non-dairy Boursin. My jaws hurt from chewing and I'm still pissed that I can't have cafe con leche.
#Whole30 Day 6: can’t believe how long eating tiny snacks takes. I know this isn’t the only way, but I’m barely surviving bitch, I can’t thrive yet! I have to go into the world tomorrow and there is so much temptation out there. I’m gonna need to pack more than my singular unpeeled car cucumber.
Day 4.5 #whole30 had me out here charbroiling homemade in-n-out burgers and putting whole30 Mac sauce on a damn salad and eating it twice cuz it was ‘good’. The charbroil flavor was all that made me feel alive. I miss bread and cheese and soda and that’s the most American thing about me
Day 4 of #Whole30: I'm hungry and trying to tell myself this is SUCH A SATISFYING BREAKFAST (its avocado and a piece of sausage. I've been drinking coffee with NUTPODS only and grazing on pineapple already.) Can you tell I'm not 100% convinced? I know by mid week 2 I'll feel less resentful but damn.

I read this and thought…ooh, I really love cookies. But I think that’s just the #Whole30 talking…or influencing reading comprehension or whatever.
Just a sad grapefruit spindrift can next to a mason jar with the pale pink juice over ice. I tried to add some juice from canned peaches to spruce it up but you could not tell a bit of difference
Also, omg, it is SO HARD to make a fun drink when you can’t add sugar OR alcohol! #Whole30
On the left a bowl of romaine with an avocado dressing and a lil bit of ‘sprinkles’ (corn and tortilla strips). On the right, same bowl but chicken in chimichurri sauce on a bed of steamed spinach with some avocado slices on the side.
Tonight’s #Whole30 (ish) dinner, featured avocado again, but I realized cauliflower rice is a better base for saucy stuff, and tricking your brain. It felt a little redundant to eat a salad after I ate a big ol’ bowl of cooked spinach…

Waffle Potatoes!…I’ve made them as a dinner side and an easy breakfast! Super basic, hands-off (they cook while you do something else, tastes like comfort food. 😋
