Stunned, he watched her leave, finding himself alone in the academy halls. His own breath echoed against the marble walls. With a heavy breath, he released the weight of the world around him, allowing the wind to free his spirit and finally feel hope. From his lips, he curled into a smile of disbelief as he whispered to himself, “Did that really just happen?” He blinked, dumbfounded by it all. A speckle of light crept in from a nearby window, like lighting up the path in front of him. He imagined it to be the tall Golden Gates opening, welcoming him in. A new place to call home where he could get his mother a beautiful home. A place where he would be accepted for his worth and not his heritage. Alastor started walking, a new prance to his step. He decided to head back to the courtyard. Face his adversary head-on, knowing that he was safe. This was going to be his moment. Nothing was going to stop me from achieving greatness. “You'll be making good.” She had said.
