I think the Roots of the Conservative CBS News were in people like #WilliamPaley, and things like #MikeWallace doing a #LoveFest show on #60Minutes with #RonaldReagan, and later getting Rid of #WalterChronkite&DanRather, to show where they are Really coming from:

And the CBS political slant goes all the way back to #WilliamPaley.. Walter Chronkite and Dan Rather were the exceptions. No more like them allowed now at CBS.
