I witnessed the Deathmatch Mode of #Half-Life online & saw CS following. I played #HOMM1 & #HOMM2. My Bestie & me Commanded & Conquered. I saw #Braveboy & #DBNA rise. I used #ICQ, #Myspace & #Trillian & #Win31 & #Win311 before #Win95 & 98 allowed me 2 browse. I witnessed it's stunning evolution. :)

Mamba .. the manual
Back in 1991, Data Becker released "Mamba" for Windows 3.1. It was part of their popular "Goldene Serie" collection. I still remember this little game quite fondly!
Here's the manual:

I finally managed to find a copy of the original Data Becker Doors! 1.0 for my Windows 3.x collection. I just hope the 720K floppy disk is still working. It looks fine, but after 32 years... you never know...

Earlier today, I received another package from eBay USA, containing a rare 16-bit version of SimCity Classic for Windows 3.1. I already KryoFlux'ed the disks, scanning the manual right now.
Yes, of course this will all be uploaded to archive.org shortly 😉.

Compared to the classic MS-DOS version, SimCity 2000 for Windows 3.1 did have a vastly superior resolution! At least, if you had a huge, badass monitor back in 1994/95!

Still sorting through more of these Maxis SimClassics releases for Windows 3.1. There were so many different versions and compilations! Holy cow!

Windows 3.1 looks surprisingly good in 16-colour mode. You can barely tell it's working with a very limited pallette.
