a crude wip painting of a winter scenery. the colours are cold red, burgundy, purples, blues, beiges, and light oranges and yellows for sunlight. the scene is framed on the left by splotched imitation of red burgundy leaves, with a slanted platform at the bottom. you can look far into the distance, a valley framed by lines mountain cliffs, a waterfall in the distance on the left kicking up fog and foam. to the right a more exposed beige cliff frames half of the image with red leaves at the top. towards the bottom of the valley the right side also features more red canopy leaves. something like a shallow waterbed forms the floor of the valley. even further back, a large metallic worm like structure reaches out in a soft twist from the ground and into the right side cliff wall. it is broken in the middle with water streaming out of it. behind it the land stretches further, so far that the ultimate background and horizon are seen. as before the last mountains in the very far back there is a huge distance. to the left the land stretches further, featuring distant mountains and platform mountains that are impossible on earth. the sky is cloudy, very bright with the light coming from the top right, in a soft yellow and orange.
the same image but in an earlier wip stage, every shape is much more crude, dots and lines make up the scene. an arrow points from bottom left to bottom right to show the direction in which the viewpoint is supposed to go
on that note
i actually started breaking in backgrounds just for Anthem
