a full body illustration of wizard with a gun OC bismuth accompanied by a blurb to the right. image is of bismuth standing with a straight posture, holding a green flask. text beside him reads: Bismuth. He / him, Magus / doctor. Bismuth is an excellent doctor, and he won't let you forget it. An expert in both curative and chaos-fighting magic, his expertise is paired with a pretentious and pedantic air. He carries himself with conceit, to the annoyance of most around him. Blunt and outspoken, Bismuth does not often hold his tongue, and offers advice to anybody... Even if it is unwanted (which it almost always is). With hyper-meticulous hygiene mixed with haughty elitism, he is the sort of doctor whom you would feel in safe hands with, but gratitude would be the only reason you're not throttling him after your treatment. One of many students under a group of particularly eminent magi, Bismuth's educational history revolves around ferocious competition. Though top of his class, this rank was frequently slipping from his grasp. As one could intuit from his pompous attitude, this past has left Bismuth deeply insecure about himself in nearly all aspects, especially so in his role as a magus. Being incredibly sensitive and high-strung, and also between the age of "teenager" and "middle aged", Bismuth had a hybrid "rebellious teen outburst" and "wild midlife crisis", leaving behind his school to have a complete meltdown literally anywhere else. The chronology from then and present is a blur.
a full body illustration of wizard with a gun OC basalt accompanied by a blurb to the left . image is of basalt with a "hush" pose, along with slightly hidden crossed fingers. text reads: Basalt. full first name Balthasar. Any pronouns, Warlock / poison crafter. Basalt... is a dubious creature. The poster child of the word "capricious", Basalt values keeping everyone on their toes, a trait that most people find incredibly annoying if not actively threatening. They carry themself with a look that says "I know something you don't", oftentimes this look speaks a truth. It is unknown but likely that their body deviates from the norm further than "an extra set of eyes", though this is further obscured by their layers, including the scarf that covers half their already-shrouded face. As of current, the only one who would be familiar with such information is Bismuth, but the extent and nature of what he knows is really not worth asking about. Basalt remains shrouded in mystery and does not open up much if at all, but one can theorize something by piecing together fragments of what they've mentioned: Their upbringing was in a community where deceptive and underhanded behavior was both encouraged and mandatory for survival. Poisoncraft was self-defense, one of many forms of it. This story, if true, explains how Basalt's poisoncraft skills are so specific and fine-tuned, whether it be in symptoms, severity, or lethality. Their trickster nature is more than the pride of being a nuisance, but also acts as a barrier of sorts.
