If anyone gets a #Xencelabs tablet, and wants it on Linux, I'll save you a headache.

Get the Beta driver, and install the .deb (or .rpm) package. Then run the install script in the .tar.gz afterwards.

It doesn't detect the tablet if you only do one or the other, at least not on Debian 13.2 Stable

Shout-out to #Xencelabs for helping me sort out some damaged hardware and walking me through the installation of a replacement tab. A reminder to fellow #artists to protect your tablet and watch those nibs BEFORE they can take a tiny scratch and turn it into what d&d would call difficult terrain.

One of the cats managed to put a scratch in the center of my #Xencelabs tablet. I didn't think much of it aside from some irritation - until a week or so later when I realized my pen nib was scratching a bigger and bigger mark.

Now to paint through this rough patch in the middle of my workspace...
