Anyway… w/ the demolition of the Credit Foncier, this song I wrote back in 2021 upon the occasion of Harvard's application to tear down the Burns Hanley Building is completely out-of-date. I should probably retire it from my repertoire.

And I was like, "Actually, the Gordon Block is w/in the Victoria Park Heritage District, so it has all the same protections as an individually designated municipal heritage property." To which the Harvard rep replied, "It is not a heritage property." #yqrcc

An arsonist accomplished what council wouldn't allow Harvard to do to the Gordon Block. And the loss of the Credit Foncier only plays into their hands. I have heard FOR YEARS that Harvard has wanted to buy that lot for a future Hill Tower 4. #yqrcc
