I used to do these big abstracts on Dharma skirts n shirts— each one was a puzzle piece, kinda— anyway, am posting them as garments to find homes.
However, photos can show the painting alone— whereas a shirt dominates by being a shirt first, instead of a painting that can be worn.

JFC. Does he not remember where the 1918 flu pandemic first took off in the US? It was in Army barracks in Kansas, and it spread with US troops as they shipped off to Europe to fight.

I always thought Sun Tzu's "Art of War" was a little simplistic and obvious but it turns out yes, you do literally need to tell the Secretary of War "you need to feed your troops and keep them from being wiped out by preventable diseases"

Dublin currently has ZERO cycle lanes under construction.

You'd think the climate crisis, collapsing AMOC, fossil fuel supply crisis, obesity epidemic, traffic jams or appalling road death increases didn't exist.

No urgency. Just subsidies for ... yep... more fossil fuels 😞

I could foresee things getting to the point where Americans overseas will be asked for vaccine certificates just to get into a restaurant or café. If the US keeps going the way it is Americans are going to be seen as a health risk to everyone else.

This thread I wrote yesterday is intended for family, friends, colleagues of people who suffer with #LongCovid (and #MECFS). I hope you find it useful. Please share if you do. 🙏

I can't help anyone who is so indoctrinated that they really think the world is shitty because it has to be that way. It so clearly doesn't. We're not even talking about political activity in the world. We're talking a basic foundation to be able to say, this shit's not right, it could be better.

A Protester Threw a Snowball. Federal Agents Responded With Tear Gas and Pepper Balls. A new investigation from ProPublica and FRONTLINE examines federal agents’ response to protesters and bystanders at the Trump administration’s immigration sweeps. “We see, just, use of excessive force...

On Jan. 12, a protester in Minneapolis threw a snowball toward federal immigration agents, who responded by tossing a tear gas canister and firing pepper balls into the crowd, hitting ProPublica & @frontlinepbs.bsky.social correspondent A.C. Thompson in the face.

A foot down about bigotry

Well, ALL forms of prejudice are bigotry

If you want people to stop the seed, then chose to not participate in any of it linguistically including race, such as “white left” , which divides

Fascists and Nazis hate history, and historians; but understand the power of history. Thats why, across the world, they work so hard to control HOW we tell stories about the past, to drive out diverse critical voices and perspectives, to ensure a narrative that makes them look good.

Gray whales are starving. Some have died off Oregon Coast Gray whales aren't getting enough to eat to survive their long migration toward Alaska.

Sorry to post this for those who abhor seeing this kind of news about wildlife. But while we are collectively agonizing over the state of our nation, the state of our planet is probably the more urgent news.

This dog rescue had a slumber party night where volunteers got to sleep with a dog up for adoption!

This is the kind of place I’d donate my time and money to.

The #BraveOfUS stand up and confront power and that's exactly what @vetsaboutface.bsky.social is doing with 150 veterans and active duty military in the Capitol rotunda right now to demand Congress end this criminal war on Iran.

"My son always texts to say he's on his way home. So I open the door, letting his 17 year old cat, and 16 year old doggo know that he's on his way. This is them waiting for him. Though it was adorable, and wanted to share." ❤️

The Qiantang river's tidal bore is the world's largest and most powerful of its kind. Sometimes two tides meet together forming a shape like a cross, that can become even more captivating at sunset.

A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
