I was justing testing the auto-posting I've been working on for the next release. I think in previous tests I saved you twice or thrice. In this level I rejigged the trap spawning and unfortunately, I think, you fell down a hole. Followers can avoid wandering monsters, but can't see holes (yet).

If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*

Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.

GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

Took about an hour to port the basics of Match'Em to MonoGame. Other time was spent centralising Input, so it works on Desktop/mobile & I added GamePad support.

@tompaana.bsky.social Hi, I recently ported your MotoTrials XNA game to MonoGame & contacted MS about the Nokia license, but never heard back. I don't want to get into any legal trouble, as it says it's "only for Windows Phone". I'm also porting the MatchemPoker game too, but that license is ok.

It makes for interesting mechanics (depending on your vision). Eg. if the enemy doesn't hear or see anything for y amount of time, they go back to their "patroling" route. This gives the player an opportunity to distract and get the enemy to reposition, so they can sneak past, for example.

You may have already thought of this, but you could have multi-stage alerts, like in MGS. 1st is "what was that" for quieter noise, & draws attention for X seconds. Which if within visual cone will transition to the 2nd. 2nd is "that doesn't sound right", which the enemy has to investigate, etc.

They intend to do what Steam has already been doing on the Deck: caching shaders on their servers and delivering that cache when downloading games. This could very well be generalized to other systems.

(Steam does a lot of invisible stuff to save devs asses, we don't talk enough about this.)
