BBC just published this article from a so-called “health reporter”. Someone should explain this reporter (and BBC) that science is not a matter of opinion. This is one of the most insidious anti-science article I have seen.

Sou propositadamente agressivo neste post. E sou-o para provocar aquele reflexo tão comum de alguns setores, normalmente populistas, que virão dizer que não estou a respeitar a vontade do povo e que estou a ser antidemocrático.
Ontem, em Portugal, o Chega chegou a líder da oposição. Ontem, 22,3% (mais os que hão de vir da emigração) votaram num partido feito de estúpidos, ignorantes ou mal-intencionados. Votaram, assim, de forma estúpida, ignorante ou mal-intencionada.

Between the Onion buying Infowars, "X" being abandoned, and the mainstream left realizing the destructive power of disinformation, it feels like something is happening. Maybe this is the beginning of an organized, well-funded, fact-based, entertaining effort to combat conspiracism. And I want in.
