This is what most voucher programs were about all along. The dog whistle of "school choice" was always about this. If you've read the history of Restoration and the 20th C, you know this.

Opinion | Trump's embrace of RFK Jr. is demoralizing for autistic people like me Kennedy sees autistic people as problems to be solved, not as people with disabilities who deserve to be accepted.

I’ve spent the last decade chronicling the #Autism rights movement and #Neurodiversity as a political movement. It had slow but gradual gains. But RFK Jr.‘s nomination to HHS takes a sledgehammer to those hard-won gains.

Couldn’t find the authors on here, but as a mom of two tweens I highly endorse this book! It is so well written and inclusive and has lots of good info and advice. So important to talk openly and honestly with our kids and really LISTEN to them!

i have read a few of those. for the fundie mormons, though, particularly the warren jeffs cult, rachel jeffs’s Breaking Free is essential (next to one of yours in my own library). i know it’s a lot on that singular topic, but she was his daughter and his favorite and her story is so clarifying.

The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles – Review ✅ This book is very well researched and the sense of impending war or the sense of upcoming victory and freedom are very well documented. ✅ It was very refreshing to read about World War 2 through the eyes of the librarians and how and what they did to keep the morale of a war torn city. The best part is probably the fact that most of the characters in this book are real life characters who actually worked in the American Library of Paris during and after the war. ❌ However that’s the only good thing in this book.
