It's not only a flawless execution of a revival series. It delivers on the promise of continuing these characters' stories all these years later and actually doing something meaningful with it that is wholly authentic and pertinent to the original show.
As someone who works in TV and sees all of its problems first hand, it can be second nature to be cynical about its current and future state. But sometimes I'll see an episode so brilliant and moving, it makes me realise there's still a heart and soul there that's worth the pursuit to keep it alive.
#SuperMarioGalaxyMovie is like living in the vibrant imagination of a kid playing those games for the first time.
