Someone sort of half-corrected me earlier, but I wasn't wrong. Regardless of who he's directing this aside-style dialogue at in actuality, the reality is that when filming it, actor Ryan Goosling had no one to play off of, and this whole gambit gets old REALLY fast, no matter how charming your goose is.
Soooooo much of #ProjectHailMary is The Goose talking to (ostensibly) himself (like, he's on set by himself, and playing off of no one).
It's TIRESOME 😑
