AP: “NASA’s Artemis II astronauts fired their engines and blazed toward the moon Thursday night. The so-called translunar ignition came 25 hours after liftoff, putting the three Americans and a Canadian on course for a lunar fly-around early next week.”

I think the main thing I'm having a hard time with, getting excited about the Artemis II mission, is that the American government of 2026 is vigorously hostile to the kind of competent expertise and humble, methodical problem solving that NASA is driven by.
