In Pokopia you can do anything, even accidentally trap a Pokemon friend beneath a hot spring you recently built.

Do it. Lean into your worst impulses. Maybe this is what love will feel like.
Dr: Did you do anything to injure your leg?
Me: Nah, I just played a bit of basketball and my 84 pound dog slammed into it.
Dr: I'm sure the dog didn't *mean to* hurt you.
Me: I dunno, he is a husky.
Every now and then I remember the way Michael Nesmith's house band covered Telstar. It was transcendent, an out of body experience every time I heard it. Music that made my mind soar to new heights. Never heard anything like it again, still wish I could find a recording of the way they played.
Amaze amaze amaze!!
I need to hear all of yer DS9 thoughts. I just rewatched it relatively recently and man it's a great ride. I think you'll adore it.
DS9 is my favorite Star Trek, but Voyager is....insane. It is SO horror pilled. The wildest stuff just keeps happening.
I love him so much. His relationship with Harry is such a riot!
Voyager is just... Like this.
I do think that whatever spiritual crisis is happening right now is, if not caused by, mirrored in the weird blandness of new construction home decor. Everything is taupe and frictionless! You will never be surprised! You will sit quietly in your beige and wait for your turn to be old!
Getting Pokopia might have been a mistake. This game is so darn fun & calming.
It is insane how good that stuff is on EVERYTHING.
I'm so glad someone else understands.

Rochester Bestiary, 1230. An aurochs hunt.
The Great Black Cow of Lascaux caves. She is 2.2 meters long and occupies the center space of the nave so the eye is immediately drawn to her. I highly recommend Werner Herzog's Cave of Forgotten Dreams to get a better understanding of cave art (it focuses on Chauvet, though)
For all ya QAA listeners, here is the obligatory image thread for the Nazi Cows episode. Below is the horn of the last aurochs bull, beautifully ornamented and still on display at the Stockholm armory.
Very valid fear. I've read that book twice, both times felt like it rewired something in me a bit. Not in a bad way or anything. Just made my mind a little stranger.
Plus there's no avoiding looking like an asshole flipping your book upside down etc. But I read enough comics that I'm used to that.
Cozy horror House of Leaves?
Really gotta try Whataburger at some point.
Not a bad one to have in your head!
Eating crumbs with a spoon in a car in a parking lot isn't America's favorite past time, but it should be.
Here's a great reading list from the @mackidssl.bsky.social team of stories to share during #AutismAcceptanceMonth. All kinds of genres, styles, and tones here!
