Anyone know whether today is a ‘ceasefire’ day or a ‘destroy your civilisation’ day yet?

I am glad this is being said. Sitting silently in rows being fed ‘knowledge’ to regurgitate is not education. It would be ideal to prepare children for domestic service in Victorian times! Needing permission to take off a jumper, SLANT, silent corridors etc isn’t preparation for the real world.
Here's a throwback to an iconic #PulpFiction track by #ChuckBerry with some half-arsed Sunday night twisting, 7 some parody reflections (to the tune of "You Never Can Tell") on the Christian White House stories last week - #Hegseth as #SamuelLJackson and the #TrumpChrist image:

So, Russians are allowed back to swimming, officially, with their flags, anthem and everything. Shameful .

Paddington Station, London
The main station of 1854 was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
But, the architectural detailing was by his associate Matthew Digby Wyatt. He took inspiration from Joseph Paxton's Crystal Palace & the München Hauptbahnhof.

I don't really understand why Bridget Phillipson repeatedly talks as though school based settings are better than PVI ones, especially when a third of PVI settings are run by volunteers like me. It's not exactly motivating for us.
Have you spoken to those currently working in the early years sector as from what I hear from colleagues in England they are seriously underfunded at present to offer what should be a wonderful preschool experience.
Learning can and should be an adventure, at least sometimes, but hopefully most of the time. It certainly feels like that in early years! ☺️ #EduSky
Completely agree. Just asked husband who was traditionally office based pre pandemic and eldest who currently is. Both professionals. Neither would expect to wear a suit or a jacket or a tie anymore. Schools are out of date. It’s become about control.
I wondered when someone would notice this.

And they wonder why we struggle to recruit in the areas where we need school staff the most 🙄
Babies and toddlers can’t read but love books. I have many photos of our grandchildren revelling in books over the years. One had a passion for the RHS vegetable and fruit guide.
Beautiful
Here's our 🎶 parody version of Barry McGuire's 1965 "Eve of Destruction" that we've modernised to turn to current US adventurism. We're calling it: "Grief and Destruction" 🚀
