Ofsted have rated my child's nursery inadequate for the most trivial reasons. But as a parent, there us no mechanism to have my voice heard.

The appointments of Spielman and Gove to HoL is failing upwards. Throughout my teaching career, I watched incompetence in the classroom be promoted to Senior positions and ruin schools. Oh wait, I mean Governments. #RuthPerry died, but hey. Spielman gets a knighthood.Fuck and off.

So Spielman is getting a (Tory - of course) peerage.

I’m staggered at the gross insensitivity displayed by the #Conservatives in nominating Amanda Spielman for a peerage.
It is a disgraceful insult to the family, friends and colleagues of #RuthPerry.

Speaking as someone who has been teaching in the State education system for a quarter of a century, and also just speaking as a human being: you've got to be fucking kidding me.

Monday Jan 8th marks the anniversary of the death of #RuthPerry. I'll have a LED candle on my desk in her memory and in her honour. Fighting for meaningful and lasting change and improvement to #Ofsted inspections in 2024.
