Oh, and when folded? It clips to her belt and works as a light source. Reddish glow, perfect for dark ruins.

Magic in our world isn't free. Prolonged use rots you from the inside. Literally.
So Eirene enchants her Asa instead. Load a spell, land a hit, deliver it on contact. Less flesh decay, more violet glyphs. Handy!
In Project Ariadne, our archaeologist-occultists wield a modern arcane version of the Asa. It's telescopic, enchantable, and built for Tahtib-inspired combat. One twist, one "woosh-CLACK!", and you're ready.
The Asa (also called Naboot) comes from Tahtib, an ancient Egyptian martial art depicted in tombs dating back to 2000 BC.
